Brenda, a Lawyer with over ten years of experience focusing on Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Practice is a member of the team at KK Advisors.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) undergraduate degree from Makerere University (2016) as well as a post graduate diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre (2017). She is currently pursuing a Chartered Governance qualification from the Chartered Governance Institute. Brenda is qualified in Legal and Regulatory Compliance, Contractual Risk Management, Legal Structuring and Strategy, Company Compliance and Administration as well as Tax Advisory.

Her expertise in hydro power projects includes advising renewable energy developing a combined capacity of over 70mw with total capital investment in excess of US$ 140 million on aspects of licensing, feasibility studies, and negotiated six PPAs with the system operator.

Brenda is also advising a global off-grid solutions developer developing mini-grid projects in Western and Northern Uganda co-financed by the EU and the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and implemented GIZ and the Government of Uganda, she also advised on the Direct Agreement for the lenders, and amendment of Implementation Agreement as part of the support to the lenders in the build up to unlocking US$ 6 million debt funding by FMO for the Northern Territory Project.
