Experience & Activities

Eric, an Engineer with over thirteen years of experience focusing on compliance, operations and maintenance in the Electricity sub-sector is a member of the team at KK Advisors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, from Makerere University (2009) as well as a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom (2014) and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Manchester (2015).

Most recently, Eric worked at the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Uganda (ERA) as a Senior Engineer where he designed and implemented, revised, and approved grid investment plans in the transmission and distribution grid in Uganda, monitored and verified the execution of annual and five-year investment projects in the distribution and transmission licensees in the electricity sector, among other duties.

Prior to ERA, Eric worked in Umeme Limited as a District Engineer, where he oversaw operational management of electricity distribution staff and infrastructure, maintained and repaired the network assets, managed the energy dispatch, through metering asset installation, maintenance, and repair, as well as planning and implementation of commercial loss reduction projects.

Eric is a member of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Uganda, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers (UIPE).
