Experience & Activities

Ivan, a Development Engineer with over twelve years of experience in engineering, infrastructure development and management is part of the team at KK Advisors. He holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering (First class honors) from Kyambogo University, Uganda as well as a Master of Business Administration from the Herriot Watt University, Edinburgh Business School.

Recently, Ivan worked with the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Uganda (ERA) as a Principal Projects Development Engineer where he was the head of the Projects Development Unit, and undertook several assignments in a bid to improve the Ugandan Electricity Supply Industry including assessment of projects with a total installed capacity of 1080mw for their technical, environmental, social and economic viability, acting as the focal point for the implementation of the GETFiT program in Uganda which aimed at delivering 156mw of clean renewable energy from 17 projects, acting as the focal person for the promotion of mini-grid projects in Northern Uganda in collaboration with GIZ and the Rural Electrification Agency of Uganda, participation in the development of the REFiT policy for IPPs who are developing renewable energy projects under 20mw.

He was also part of the team of the Energy Planning Committee set up to develop a risk assessment with the view of establishing the required level of investment in transmission and distribution to absorb the surge in generation capacity.

Ivan’s career objective is to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired over his professional journey in the fields of engineering, infrastructure development and management to achieve the highest possible standards and results.
