Experience & Activities

Clement is an engineering graduate with one year of experience in the mini-grid segment of the Electricity Supply Industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University.

Most recently, Clement worked with a Ugandan startup developer in the mini-grid space where he participated in the design of mini-grid models and financing models for mini-grids within Uganda. In his role, he reviewed funding opportunities for projects in the mini-grid space and prepared to bid documents to this effect while also working on the development of a crypto token as an alternative financing option for the project. Part of his role involved carrying out stakeholder and customer engagements with and on behalf of the company directors. He has also worked at a 250 MW generation plant in Uganda as an electrical operations and maintenance officer, providing him with a technical understanding of engineering concepts.

Clement is also an enthusiast for sustainable engineering and development aspiring to leave a mark on the developing world. He has a passion for nurturing young talent and spends time educating his fellow youth on engineering concepts and relevance.
