Experience & Activities

Birungi Patience is a land surveyor with three years of experience in surveying with a particular focus on Remote Sensing and GIS. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics from Makerere University, Kampala.

She formerly worked with ZWE Consulting as a land surveyor where she undertook work across the different fields of surveying and GIS, including research for prospective projects and data quality assurance for all outputs.

Prior to ZWE, Patience worked on the GIZ RELAPU project of Improving Land Governance in Uganda (ILGU) under Makerere University as a project cartographer and later as a field team supervisor. Here she supported data collection, processed and compiled occupancy data to update the GIS database.
