Experience & Activities

Pearl Nimusiima is a seasoned Marketing and Communications Specialist with experience spanning over 10 years.

She has worked in both the private and public sectors supporting projects with strategy development and implementation of various campaigns. Her vast knowledge covers areas of strategy development and implementation, fundraising, stakeholder identification, mapping and engagement, media management, concept development and production of Information, Education and Communication materials (IECs), grievance management, crisis communications and call centre support development.

Pearl’s experience speaks for itself as she has had an array of achievements over her career. To mention but a few, she pioneered the setup of the first-ever call centre handling grievance management for Project Affected Persons (PAPs) at the Uganda National Roads Authority. She set up the first Uganda Information centre for UNICAF university as it entered the Uganda market.

Pearl has recently finalized the development of a marketing strategy to promote free electricity connections and increase electricity demand through the promotion of productive use (PUE) under the Electricity Connections Policy (ECP). Her work in the Energy sector is highly tagged to awareness creation, sensitization and mobilization for electricity connections under the Rural Electrification Program.

She is a versatile and adaptable individual with strong interpersonal skills and is an able leader, with a gift for mentoring and building others to create and maintain healthy work relationships.

Pearl has a deep understanding of the PR and marketing world given her vast experience in the field. She holds a Master’s in Management Studies and a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration from Uganda Management Institute (UMI), prior to this, she attained a bachelor’s in mass communication majoring in Public Relations from Uganda Christian University, Mukono.

Pearl has a heart for children and is actively involved in 40 days over 40 smiles and Humura Childcare ministries, charity organizations devoted to changing the lives of children through providing educational opportunities.
